SHOULD IT COST THE EARTH TO OWN A PIECE OF HEAVEN?

Since interior designers charge a fortune, we usually end up doing the design ourselves. Google after all has all the answers.

But designing this home, so the living room design looks spectacular, bedroom design seems magnificent, and kitchen design is functionally-brilliant, isn’t exactly a piece of cake.

Since interior designers charge a fortune, we usually end up doing the design ourselves. Google after all has all the answers.

But when we do find something that we like, the big hurdle then becomes finding the right person to help turn an image into reality.

Then comes finding the right material, and the furniture, to get that “look”. Just when the resemblance to the design starts appearing we realize that what looked good as a stand alone wall, suddenly doesn’t go with the furniture. If we did manage a good kitchen, we realise that it doesn’t really match our dining room decor.

This is the point where we tend to give up and settle for anything half decent….
